Voicemail stopped working

For the last month, my voicemail stopped picking up on my Samsung s7.  I just upgraded to the S21 and it still does not work.  Nothing in the troubleshooting seems to address this.  How do I get this working again?

We can certainly understand how important being able to access your voicemail is, and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. It would be a pleasure to assist you in investigating this issue.


I see you mentioned you have recently upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S7 to a Samsung Galaxy S21, and have already attempted troubleshooting. To ensure we are finding the right solution, please may you provide or answer the following:

  • How long ago did you activate your Samsung Galaxy S21?
  • Are you using the old sim card you had inserted in your Samsung Galaxy S7?
  • What current Software Version do you have on your device? Directions: Go to Settings > Scroll down to bottom, Tap Software Update > Tap Show Software Update History. If you have not already checked for new Software Updates, please Tap Check For System Update under the same page you see software update history. 
  • Have you tried uninstalling/ reinstalling the voicemail application and turning on data when attempting to access the app?
