"Voicemail is Locked. Please Contact System Manager"

I’m trying to set up my voicemail for my prepaid plan, but I did not set it up within the first 60 days. Now that my voicemail is locked, how do I proceed? Is there a number that I have to call, because there is no option to reset my password or set up my voicemail in My Wireless account preferences.

Thanks

darn it! I had set up voicemail again and now I have to Call VM, instead of just seeing the VMs, and all my VMs were deleted?

how do I get those back, and not need to Call VM each time?

I've been chatting and talking with support all day to get to this point!

Hey there @JoeFromSD! Let us help you with your voicemail.

Are you wanting to set up visual voicemail so you can see the voice message instead of calling your voicemail? If so, here is how to do so.

  • Have a smartphone and data plan that includes Visual Voicemail (included on most wireless and PREPAID smartphone data plans)
  • Use your own smartphone - you can't set up voicemail from another phone
  • Connect to the 4G LTE data network
  • Install the AT&T Visual Voicemail app if your Android device doesn't already have Visual Voicemail built in or the app pre-installed. If you have iPhone it is already installed in the device just go to your voicemail from your call log.

Can you tell us what type of device you are using? This will help us find personalized steps that work for your exact device.

As for deleted voicemails once its gone, its gone forever. The only way you are able to recover a voicemail message is if you called your voicemail to hear it and you did not hang up the call yet. You would just Message playback menu . press 1 > press 9 to check erased messages > press 9 to save a message to your voicemail box.

Since you had to set up your voicemail again, we are unable to recover your previous voicemail messages.

Let us know if this is helpful. We look forward to your response.
