Visual Voicemail not working on Motorola 5G Ace

I recently replaced my Samsung JS with a Motorola 5G Ace. Everything working fine except visual voicemail. Was working on the samsung but hangs on setup in the Motorola. Can you help?

Steps tried:

- Restarted phone

- checked app, disabled and re-enabled, then restarted phone

- uninstalled then reinstalled visual voicemail app

Hello scottjbo65, we're here to help get your Visual Voicemail working.

 

Confirm your wireless coverage & signal strength, as your phone needs a wireless connection to receive calls, access voicemail, download Visual Voicemail messages.

 

We also recommend updating your device software to the latest version to ensure all apps are running on the latest software version. 

 

View Access voicemail messages for tips to manage your voicemail. Go to Troubleshoot Voicemail for solutions to common voicemail problems.

 

Alternatively, you can set up voicemail by selecting and holding the 1 key from the Phone app. If prompted, enter your voicemail password, then follow the prompts to set up your voicemail.

 

If you have forgotten your existing voicemail password, you will not be able to access voicemail until you reset your voicemail password.

Not helpful. I can make and receive calls and have fine signal strength. Worked on my older phone fine. New phone, all apps and software are up to date. Have no problem accessing voicemail. Just can't use this app (which I really like). Voicemail password is irrelevant - no problem getting in to voicemail. What else have you got?

Visual Voicemail is a feature that is specific to your carrier. We recommend instead of trying to use the certain Visual Voicemail feature app on your cell phone, we recommend you get the AT&T Visual Voicemail app and see if you can get your voicemail to work this way.

Hi - thanks for your response. The AT&T Visual Voicemail App is the one I've been trying to use. That's the app that's hanging on setup.
