Verify Emergency 911 Address Failed GEO-0074-WS

I am trying to enable Wi-Fi calling on my device.  I get an error "Need Valid Address" with the code GEO-0074-WS

The address I entered matches EXACTLY what is on the Zip Code lookup from the USPS.

How can this be resolved?

If I enter the address differently, for example, spell out place, it says "Which address is correct" then it gives me the correct address with PLACE abbreviated as PL and the address I entered with PLACE spelled out.   So I choose the abbreviated PL which matches the USPS and then it says Need Valid Address.

The locational database probably has not been updated (AT&T uses a third party for matching physical address to GPS) or there is a glitch in the system. You can use another address that is close to you and that should work.

They should update their system, it's been 3 years since the house was built lol.  Guess I have no choice but to use a close address.

Hello jerlasvegas, we are happy to help you with updating your E911 address.

There is a way to change the E911 address on your device by setting up Wi-Fi calling. When setting this feature up, it will ask you for the E911 address. You can set this up in Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi Calling > Get Started. We also have a great Device Support resource to assist. Please select your phones make and model, then navigate to Tutorials > Calling > Wi-Fi Calling for an interactive tutorial on the setup.

You can also, go to the United States Postal Service website and enter your address. It may format the address in such a way that is valid for the E911 address.

We hope this information helps you. If you need any additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask. We want to ensure all of your concerns are taken care of!

It actually doesn't help at all.   I have already done that.  As I stated "The address I entered matches EXACTLY what is on the Zip Code lookup from the USPS."  This means that I went to the United States Postal Service website and copied the EXACT formatted address from that site and it still says "Need Valid Address"    The address is in all the map apps and the US Postal Service Website and it's over 3 years old.   I believe you have an issue with your database lookups.

@jerlasvegas  That's what I said. It was either an error in the database or a glitch in the lookup system. And just because USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc can find you that doesn't mean that your physical address matches the GPS coordinates that are in the database.  AT&T doesn't update the database per se, they depend on the a third party for that. Is this a new address or a rural address?

Oh, and this is not "our" database. We are just customers like yourself and volunteer our time here. This is just a customer to customer forum only, not AT&T Support. Occasionally someone for ATTHelp will respond but they are limited in what they can do.

I see that Otto and thanks for your feedback.   I did get AT&T to contact me and they will update it.   I found it easier to ask on this forum as I had seen AT&T reply to other posts.

I see this is quite the hobby for you with lots of posts.  Thanks for the help.

I've been doing this for around 10 years now, mostly helping folks with AT&T's femtocells. First the MicroCell and now the Cell Booster
