Stolen Iphone, concerned about banking apps

Hello,

My iphone 13 was stolen by a clever person who is probably capable of hacking. He was able to get my icloud password while watching me try to enter it on findmyiphone.  He disabled findmyiphone.

I reported the phone stolen, I changed my icloud password, but I'm worried that the iphone is capable of receiving text messages, specifically 2 factor authentication text messages from my bank.  I realized via my log-in history that someone recently logged into my account at a time when I know I was asleep.  I've changed my bank credentials several times...

Can someone tell me if it's possible for the phone to continue receiving text messages associated with my phone number?

So indeed texts CAN continue to be sent to the device even though I reported it stolen to AT&T?

Only if your line was not suspended. When you reported the phone stolen, ATT should have suspended service to that line.

Probably as long as your cellular account is active. Your iCloud account being breached has nothing to do with your active phone number so calls, text messages, iMessages can still be sent to your phone number unless you canceled your account or requested a new phone number.

Unless AT&T has blocked your phone number or your account was canceled, yes. Call AT&T from another phone and see what they can do. You will probably need your PIN number though. You might be able to go into a Corporate Store (NOT an Authorized Retail Store) and cancel it that way by showing a photo id if you don't remember your PIN. The PIN is needed to verify who you are if you do business like this online.
