Hi maanihaider786! Let's look into your request to unlock the SIM for your device.
Customers of AT&T can unlock their SIM card by following the details under How to unlock a SIM with a PIN unlock key (PUK) when visiting Enter PUK code.
SIM PIN codes are for security. It keeps your device from being used on any other network except the one you're using. The details under Enter a PIN code to lock your SIM card at Lock SIM card with PIN code are how to enter the PIN codes for your SIM card.
Go to Device help and download the user manual for your device to learn how to enable SIM card lock.
However, AT&T customers can request their phone or device to be unlocked by following the steps under Submit a request to unlock a device which can be found at Learn how to unlock your phone or device.
The instructions contain the same Device Unlock Portal that @sandblaster provided. There are important details to keep in mind including eligibility requirements that need to be fulfilled before the device is eligible to be unlocked from our network.
AT&T SIM-lock devices to protect you from fraud and to reduce theft. A SIM lock keeps your device from being used on any other network except AT&T.
Try this and let us know how it goes. We want to help you reach a definite resolution with your experience.

I'm moving this thread to the Wireless forum because it has nothing to do with Email.

This forum is not how to unlock a phone. Use the unlock portal:

I saw that some of y'all are having trouble with the "SIM Not Valid" error on your iPhone. That can be super annoying, but don't stress out too much.
