Samsung Galaxy A51 Security Update to address MMS vulnerability

I just purchased, from AT&T, two Samsung Galaxy A51 phones. Shortly after that, I heard that the Galaxy series of phones have a specific vulnerability around the MMS processing that could allow a bad actor to take over the phone. This vulnerability had apparently been going on since 2014 in all Galaxy phones. Samsung released a security update to address the vulnerability and is included in the May 2020 security patch. When will AT&T be pushing this patch out to the Galaxy phones on it's network? The A51 I received is on the April 1, 2020 security patch, which, if I understand Samsung's posts, does not address the MMS vulnerability.

MMS processing that could allow a bad actor to take over the phone

why would Keanu Reeves want to take over your phone? LOL

but seriously you would need to call at&t and see if they can force the update if its out, if its not out yet they dont share dates with the public or front line employees regarding future updates unlees posted on their website somewhere

updates are almost always a month behind because of testing. I would say sometime in June.

But that phone gets quarterly updates not monthly.
