Roadside Nightmare 1/2 mile from home

So yesterday our car broke down legit 1/2 mile from home why the boys went to get haircuts, it actually wouldn't start for me earlier in the day but when they got done my husband called to tell me it wouldn't start so I walked to their location to see if I could get it to start like I was able to do that morning and it wouldn't work, so I knew I had roadside but while on the phone the guy said nothing to me about some "ALLOWANCE" so he hung up with me and called around and called me back with 15min to tell me he had good news and bad news, good news he found a tow, bad news I had to pay $71.00 for the tow because the tow was more then I was allowed?????????? when asked how much I was allowed which I was told in the beginning it was up to 25 miles free.. The guy could not answer any of my questions I have had roadside for a year now and this was the first time I ever had to use it and had to fork out $71.00 for a tow to my house 1/2 mile a way. I have read about making a claim for reimbursement but I want answers to what specifically roadside covers!!! This is an absolute joke and I know the tow guy was confused as to why I had to pay $71.00 for a 1/2 mile tow.. and I want reimbursed for something I pay for monthly and have never used until yesterday..

This is not AT&T or how you request help with roadside assistance.

If the tow was over $75, you pay the extra.
