Receiving SMS on virtual (NOT prepaid!!!) phone number - HOW?
Hi,
I am wondering if the company offers any virtual phone number which is guaranteed NOT a prepaid one and where can I add my full name on it so the number can be verified and my ID verified also? By virtual, I mean two subjects: ability to check incoming sms online without having to send outgoing one and NOT having to carry physical sim card, neither the actual phone. However, it is extremely important that phone number and my full name are both verifiable just like on subscription package. I must be able to add my name to the virtual phone number so it can be verified matching my name. Even more important it is that phone number is not ( !!! ) prepaid one but virtual one: identical to the regular subscription package.
Does anything like that exist?

I have a virtual number and I use it for the purpose of collecting my voicemail from two different phones and providing voice transcription. It does not work for two-factor Authentication.
To factor authentication sees it as a 'fake' number and will not allow it.
It's literally why 2FA requires a real number.
If AT&T is too expensive for you, use an mvno of T-Mobile, like Mint
