Real-time text(RTT) call option

Hi,

I have a Nokia 3.1a, on this phone there is no way to turn off RTT.

In Settings - Accessibility - Real-time text (RTT) call options there is only two options:

"Visible during calls" & "Always visible"

In the manual, it states the ability to turn off the feature, but in the phone no such feature exists.

The RTT is playing havoc with attempting calls, some go through, some don't.

Any suggestions?

We can help point you in the right direction, @jdk2000.

We're sorry to hear that the RTT feature is playing havoc with attempted calls. Your Nokia 3.1.a requires an AT&T Accessibility plan before you can change your settings.

Want to learn more about our accessibility plans? Email us at NCCDSupport@att.com or give us a call 866.241.6568.

We're available from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.

Thank you very much for using AT&T. Take care!

Thanks for the response, however, I don't need an accessibility plan, I'm not disabled.

According to the manual, there is a way to turn off the RTT setting.

In actuality, there is no "off" setting. RTT stays on.

Hello there @jdk2000!

From your Home screen navigate to Settings > System > Accessibility and check whether it's possible to disable the Real-Time Text (RTT) feature from there.

Let me know how this worked for you.

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

But, I've already done that, there is no way to disable RTT.

The only two options are:

"Visible during call and " "Always visible".

No way to disable RTT.
