Thanks for confirming the T/S steps you've taken, @Jalrashdi. AT&T Advanced Messaging requires your that your OS is up to date. Android 10 was released Feb 14. 2020. Can you check your device settings to confirm your running Android 9 or 10? With two versions of AM, and friends and family possibly on different ones, your messaging experience can change, including 1-to-1 or group exchanges. Are you all using stock apps, or the new Google RCS Messages app?Google's Messages app conflicts with AT&T AM so if there's a conversation created that includes users who had upgraded their messaging app to Google Messages app, the conversation will no longer have the receipt and typing notification. AM isn't available while roaming internationally, sending messages on other carrier's network, or using AT&T PREPAID, AT&T Secure Family, or some third party device management apps. Please take into consideration these facts, and check your software. AT&T Device Support is a great tool to provide both custom solutions, & detail step by step troubleshoot direction. Give it a try and observe your threads for a couple of days. If the problem continues post back to let us know.Kenneth, AT&T Community Specialist
