Pixel 2 XL & VoLTE Call Audio Issues

Has anyone that is using a Google Pixel 2 XL on AT&T experienced issues with audio during calls while VoLTE is enabled on Android Oreo 8.1?


Basically when the audio issue happens, neither I or the person I'm calling(or receiving the call from) can hear each other for the first 10-15 seconds.  The line basically seems like it's dead or the call never went through.


If anyone has experienced this issue, did it go away after disabling the Enhanced 4G LTE Mode toggle?

Any audio issues can be annoying and problematic, especially when there are other parties involved!  We do not have any product advisories for this, but we can help you out!

Since this phone is a non-AT&T Branded device, we do not have specific troubleshooting steps.  We have several tools which may have troubleshooting steps to attempt by selecting a similar phone.  Please feel free to visit our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool.  Here, you choose your Phone Manufacturer > then choose your a similar Device > under Device/software issues, please choose Audio.  Here, you can follow a troubleshooting flow to determine the best resolution for your device! 

You can also click here for device tutorials on how to transfer files from a computer and your phone.  You will first choose a similar device and then search for reset in order to perform a factory reset and see if it helps.  If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to contact us back and we can look into further options!
