Number Sync will not work on Galaxy 4 Watch and Samsung Ultra 22

I had the Galaxy 4 watch number sync to my old phone - Samsung Galaxy S20+ (after issues with that also and was told samsung by a tech that samsung rolled out the product and the number sync was not working but would with the new update and it did). Now that I have upgraded the phone I CANNOT get the number sync between the watch and the Ultra 22. I spent about an hour at the att store and been on the phone with Samsung. They are a(Edited per community guidelines)olutely no help their solution send the watch to them to look at. Makes no sense since it was working before. I keep getting the error message PD-SDK-system_error.

I have researched on this forum and tried that advice. I have not activated the Call Block - at least I think I have not if it is done thru Call Protect, did the force stop and no luck. I have deleted the mobile plans 3 times, reset the watch, checked for updates and nothing is working. This is a bunch of crap to have this not working.

I am beyond frustrated, second go around with this (Edited per community guidelines). I should have gone to iphone, even though I really do like the product, at least their products work together and wiht at&t.

Did you reset the watch?  To sync with a new phone, the watch must be factory reset.

The watch 4 and numbersync do not play nice.  Numbersync is a lousy program, and AT&T should have dumped it years ago.

Verizon number share works flawlessly.  Even the messages+ allows call and text across platforms (I use android phone and iPad and Palm companion ).

@formerlyknownas when I did the upgrade I did a reset. A reset was done in the ATT store also. I have found another forum where I am not the only one having this issues. Apparently this is an AT&T issue. Now I am loosing money by paying for a line for my watch and I cannot even use it since the Numbersync does not work. Today the phone did another update and still no go on getting this done. Yes I checked to make sure the watch was up to date.

You've got lots of company.   Samsung can warranty repair or replace.   But that might not fix it.  It's numbersync, at&t's garbage program.   They know it doesn't work well with Android.

@formerlyknownas Something funny happened. I received a notification about a response from you said the 22Ultra and Watch4 number sync will not work. It is gone. I looked on samsung website and it says it will. I heard this when I had the s20+ and upgraded to the watch 4 when it wasnt working. If this is the case then there will be a (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines) for false advertising on both companies.

Well after days of trying to get with direct messaging someone finally "helped" if you can call it that. They were of no help. Just wanted me to make a new user id, saying I didnt have the phone number and my watch number sync'd. NO kidding isnt that what I am trying to do??? Their website just takes you in an endless loop when you go to manage your number sync. Why would it want to log you in when you are already logged in?? This is beyond the worse customer service and service. I am done. I am going to proceed with legal action at this point. I am paying for a service which I am not receiving. I am done.

It doesn't work att knows it.  Their reps are full of crap.  For me I usually have my phone on me so I just did a call forward to my watch number so I can at least get phone calls if I'm not with my watch on.  That's all you can do until enough people complain or att gets sued for lying to people. If it wasn't cause I have 5 lines and paying some phones currently u would have gone with Verizon but as soon as I pay them off bye bye att. Not recommending att to anyone ever.

Well they finally got the numbersync back up and running. ATT since you see all these - next time why don't you try a little customer service. Try being honest with your customers and tell them there are issues and the solution is being developed or even better try making sure the product actually works before selling it. A little honesty goes a long way. You are getting a very bad name for your policies.
