new unknown user added to my laptop after setup off new hotspot

After adding a new / replacement att hotspot, I new have a new user added to my laptop.

I can't access it without a password to see what it is.

The previous device was an earlier model almost identical.

Can installing the device do that, previous device did not do this.

What I mean by new user is a new extra desktop with a nonsense name that look like a random generated password. See below.

I am on my desktop trying to add an app and it goes directly to that desktop and asks for a password, the dialog box has no option to go to another user desktop.

Very strange

Hello,

If it’s a WiFi user, see the bottom of device where it has device name and password (usually “admin”). This will have a webpage to visit to change device password and see what devices have accessed it. It would narrow down to who has been in proximity to the hotspot to have seen the password and connected to it. Reset options to clear device on att.com/devicesupport
