Issues with Update to Oreo.

I upgraded my Samsung S8 to Oreo and a lot of my apps disappeared off my screen including the phone keypad! I had to go into Google play store and add a keyboard so I could dial out and make phone calls.  Did this happen only with AT&T updates to Oreo? I saw that some people upgraded to audio but didn’t get all the upgrades downloaded.   It’s very aggravating and even though I shut it down the reboot nothing changed. What do I have to do to get back to the regular version instead of Oreo. I’d rather wait till they get the update corrected but doesn’t mess up my phone.
