Info. On 5g in my town
When is 5g going to be in Royse City, TX.
I've just bought a new 5g phone. I have not found ANY 5g areas anywhere in North Texas.
What's the hold up?
Or is 5g just a marketing ploy to get us to buy new phones.

No, it’s not a marketing ploy but with any new technology, it takes awhile to deploy everywhere. The same thing happened with 3G, 4G and LTE. However, no one here can tell you when your area will see 5G. ATT doesn’t make that information public. Unless you just needed a new phone, you didn’t need a 5G phone yet.
