Huawei Ascend XT model # H1611, 6.0.1 marshmallow

Hello, I purchased this phone in Nov. of 2016 and have been having issues with the volume ever since and tech support has not been any help. I have read the forum notes and tried all the settings. I have an extremely difficult time hearing voicemails and live calls and the people on the other end have a difficult time hearing me too. It makes no difference if using mobile data or HD. Is there a further fix for this or should I get the phone replaced?

It only sometimes connects to Bluetooth. Thanks.

Hey there @craftionista!

Volume is a very important function, and is definitely concerning when it is having issues like what you are experiencing.  I would like to assist in getting this resolved.  Let’s get started!

Thank you so much for the details you included about troubleshooting you have already completed.  This helps us resolve it much faster.  I did want to ask if you had completed a master reset previously.  This is a great way to shake out many issues which can occur with settings.

We also have a fantastic tool available on the website for tracking down errors.  Our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool can be a one-stop shop for technical issues with your devices.  Once you reach the page, please choose your make/model and then select Device/software issues > Audio.

If you needed to complete a master reset for the phone, we will want to first back up the phone completely.  The steps to accomplish this, and many other functions with your phone, can be found on the Device Support page for your device.  You can choose from many tutorials.

For a backup, please go to Tutorials > Backup & restore to see which methods can be used with the Ascend phone.  When you are ready to reset the phone, please click on Tutorials > Troubleshooting > Reset Device to get started.

Please let me know if this works, I would be happy to dig into this further!
