Google Voice Port issue

I ported my Google Voice number to AT&T and now I am noticing errors when I sign my new number up with companies. I am interested in the security verification sms options on a lot of my accounts and for some reason the number is not allowed. It is like it is recognizing it as a VOIP but it is not anymore because AT&T has it now (cellular). Does anyone else have this issue or know of it? I would like to keep the number but if I can't sign up for the sms security option for my bank and many other accounts I have then the number is worthless now.

Hello sara03, we're here to help with receiving SMS verification codes.

We understand the impact of not receiving authentication codes. Let's meet in a Direct Message, so that we can troubleshoot your device and account. Please check your Direct Message inbox (it's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums).

Looking forward to speaking with you.

But to answer the question, a virtual number is going to be seen as a virtual number, and not eligible for a lot of two-factor authentications, long after it is ported to a physical service provider.
