Cingular Flip Phone Auto Redial

My Cingular Flip Phone IV will automatically redial the last number I called when I bend over with the phone in my pocket. I just tried pressing on various spots on the case, and it redialled! (But I do not know which press did it.) I do not see anything in the user manual about a redial feature. Any thoughts?

Lar - I power the phone off every night.

Lar and Joyne - There is no update available.

All - I think I figured out what is happening. When I press on the closed case in a certain spot, it activates the Green button, which brings up the Call Log. Then it activates the OK button, which calls the last number in the Call Log. So, the question is - how can I make it stop doing that? I am afraid it is a hardware problem, and since multiple people (at least jonder1 and I) are having this same problem, I am willing to bet there is no solution. I have been putting off buying a Smart Phone for years. You may have just forced me to get one!

I do NOT think it is time to replace the phone I just got in March of this year. Instead I think it is inexcusable that AT&T would sell a phone that behaves this way, and then not know what the actual menu options are on the phone that I have clearly described to you!

In case anyone else is folloiwng this thread, I just wanted to say that the Screen Lock solved the problem. With the screen locked, there is no way to push buttons while the phone is closed (unless, of course, I manage to push the unlock code - not likely! Having the scren locked also seems to have solved another issue I had - being able to decline a call without actually answering it.

The camera on the outside of the phone is exactly at the same spot as the MENU button on the inside of the phone.  "Pushing" on that camera will push the MENU and with just the right number of "beeps" - you will have butt dialed someone.  Try pushing it with your finger and see for yourself.

OK I'm having many issues with this Flip IV Model U102AA. 1st contacts are saved to phone memory and sim so when you go to contacts you see the contact twice. How can I view just phone memory or sims contacts not both?

OK 2nd issue. I set my clock/alarm settings ( traditional sound vibrator off) but when alarm goes off its on vitality or woody. I set it then go to edit and it hasn't saved my setting. HELP

Why can't you set an alarm when you save an event on the calendar? It will let out a short chime which is useless.

You do realize your posts are totally off the subject of auto-dialling, don't you? By the way, I fixed that problem by setting a screen lock.
