cancel call protect on my Samsung S20

I am not receiving ANY calls that are not in my contacts and after spending hours with AT&T support both over the phone and in the store, with no help/resolution, and was told if I cancel Call protect then that will allow me to get those calls.   Yet when I go to cancel it on my phone it tells me I cannot do that.   Can you help please?

We would be very happy to investigate what is going on with your Call Protect @Darlenefoell18

The AT&T call protect app will no longer be used by AT&T soon. You'll find the same features in the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app.

  • You must download the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app to avoid service disruption.
  • Once AT&T ActiveArmor Mobile Security app is installed, uninstall the AT&T Call Protect app.

You are able to add or opt-out of the AT&T Active Armomobile security app through the App Store in the account menu.

Also if you have the "Silence Unknown Callers" feature activated in your iOS or Android settings, you will need to go into your device settings (not the AT&T Call Protect App) and disable the feature to allow unwanted calls to contact you.

We would like to know if the information provided is helpful for your concerns.
