Call protect not working
I have used call protect for several years; however, it stopped working for some reason last week. I deleted the app and added it back and it still doesn’t work. I keep getting the error “we hit a snag the system is unavailable please try again later.” I have also reset my network settings and my phone (iPhone 12 pro max) is updated to the latest software. Please advise on why the system is stuck and not allowing me to reinstall the app.

Thank you for the information; however, this did not work or fix the issue. I removed the app
from my phone but there is not an option or way for me to complete the steps you provided. The app seems to be stuck and preventing me from going any further once it’s downloaded. Please advise with a better option thanks.

Hello @customer4life,
We're working towards a successful resolution to this known issue.
Please hang tight and try power cycling your device the next and test out the steps provided in previous message again.

Same. Broken. Blowing $3.99 for something that is totally unable to work.

Working on my iPhone XS running 14.4.2. I've noticed that I no longer have to enable it as a call blocker in Settings > Phone as that option is no longer there. It must be integrated differently now into iOS.

Mine also not working. I’ve removed app and reinstalled at least a dozen times. Called AT&T twice and no one can help me. AT&T charges more than any other service and no one is smart enough to fix. Maybe time to dump AT&T.

The instructions make no sense.
Doing 3 makes it impossible for 4 to be the next step. LOL.

After many calls to AT&T call protect could not be fixed. I noticed while trying to fix my voicemail and all saved messages disappeared. Every time I deleted call protect my voicemail disappeared. I finally deleted call protect. After 30 years with AT&T I expect more from them. I hope we all get our problem fixed.

Same here. After numerous attempts of troubleshooting, nothing. To make matters worst, AT&T recommended upgrading to a new plan, and now they are charging me $50 more a month. WTH 🤦🏻♂️

I have a Samsung and do not have the option to uninstall. Went to AT&T store yesterday and the agent inserted a new chip and followed the steps to activate and still nothing. When the app opens it asks to disconnect from WiFi and VPN. I followed app instructions and nothing! This is terribly frustrating.

Same issue here; very frustrating because I’m getting numerous spam calls every day and have been since the app stopped working February 4. The steps provided by the tech are impossible to do because once reinstalled, the app never fully opens/loads, rather it just sits spinning on the “set up blocking” screen that several people have shared screenshots of. Three months is an absurdly long time to still not have this issue fixed.

I was told we’re waiting for the third party app maker to provide an update and this issue (images above) affects only certain iPhones. They have duplicated it. My own thought is the issue started at a certain iOS update. I noticed caller I’d had broken and reinstalling the app made things worse. It appears to me the app stopped being able to talk to servers at some point.
