Bought an iPhone 11 Pro from an att customer and he reported it stolen

I bought an iPhone 11 Pro from an AT&T customer and her reported it stolen after a couple months, my guess is to get a replacement device under insurance. So this customer is committing fraud to not only me but AT&T and the insurance company. Is there anything I can do in this case?
