at&t secure family app

The at&t secure family app has been installing/updating for over a week now, I have an unlocked AT&T phone that I use on Straight Talk. I personally do not want the app as I will never use it, how long will I have to put up with it installing/updating?

To unsubscribe from AT&T Secure Family service, you would have to follow these steps:

  1.  Open The AT&T Secure Family App on your Parent or main device.
  2. Navigate to the Setting menu (Gear Icon)
  3. Tap Account
  4. Tap Cancel AT&T Secure Family.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to cancel your subscription.

If you are in need of the AT&T Secure Family app in the near future, feel free to visit our Manage Family Safety Article  to re-activate the service app.

I have never used AT&T Secure Family service, or the AT&T Family Map, the reason for my writing was that the AT&T Secure Family service has been installing and updating on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Active (unlocked AT&T phone that I use with Straight Talk) for a month now. How much longer can I expect this to continue or is there a way I can halt it?
