att armor calls

I have set up active armor, but the calls protection will not activate. It says call features are only available on ATT network. But my calls are on the ATT network. What do I do?

Hello there @jkelsoe let's shed some light on our Call Protect and Active Armor.

We’ve combined both our security apps into one app for both call and data protection. The features and settings you use in Call Protect are now in the AT&T ActiveArmorSM mobile security app.

Here’s where to get the app:

Once you’ve accepted the Terms & Conditions, you can access your call features. Just open the app and choose Calls to access your call logs and more. Don’t forget to uninstall the AT&T Call Protect app.

We hope this helps for you in the future. Thank you for reaching Community Forums

Let's look into additional tips to resolve your Call function with Active Armor @jkelsoe.

First make sure that you have deleted the Call protect app and have the following requirements in order for the app to function properly. To use AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security, you must have:

  • AT&T Wireless or AT&T PREPAID service
  • iPhone 6 or newer with iOS version 12+ or higher or an Android smartphone with OS 11+ or higher purchased through AT&T
  • HD Voice enabled-  • HD Voice-capable smartphone
Check the App store for updates as well. If the ActiveArmor mobile security app doesn’t update properly from the App Store, try this:
  1. Go to Settings on your device and tap General.
  2. Tap Software Update and make sure you have the latest version. If you don’t, update it now.
  3. Close settings and open the App Store.
  4. Tap Updates, and select Update next to AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app.

If the above steps do not work, try our Active Armor troubleshooting to get a step by step personalized solution. You can report an issue from the app as well. Let us know if you have any questions and provide more details on the call function that is not working properly. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

Based on your Call and Active Armor concerns, we want to get you into a DM to go over a few troubleshooting steps @jkelsoe. Check the message icon in the upper portion of the page and reply.

In the meantime, we want to include some steps that may resolve your call experience.

  • What is the Make and Model of your device? This will help with personalized solutions for your device.
  • Have you Uninstalled the Call protect app? The reason we ask is that the call protect app will need to be removed in order for the Active Armor feature to take affect.
  • What were the results of the troubleshooting link provided above? This will help determine the steps you have already tried to assist with finding the root cause.

Gather the above information and reply back to us in a Direct Message. We will get started figuring out to the root cause and work towards a solution. Again, keep an eye out of for the DM.
