AT+T address book for Kyocera Dura XE E4710 REMOVAL

I have never activated the at+t address book, but it remains on my phone and every time I go to contacts,

it tells me, "no network connection, please turn on your network connection to set up at+t address book.

I've tried this. But it gets me nowhere. The annoying app is still on my phone and I just want to remove it.

But when I go to "apps" it says I have no apps. I'm confused and after trying for quite some time at a wifi

hot spot I"m not sure how to proceed. I'm hoping that someone out there can help me with a step by step method

to deliver me from this unnecessary trouble with an otherwise wonderful phone.

That's a very old phone.  The address book was eliminated a few years ago, so defunct, but the software is still on old phones.

That phone is 3g only, which which means the phone itself will become obsolete no later than February of 2022.

Time to go shopping.

I've gotten used to the phone. All it takes is a couple of taps to get me where I want to go. Indestructible and does everything you want. I don't need 7 billion units of data capability. I just need something that texts and answers calls. Thanks for your advice but I'm done my shopping. This one will most likely last me till the Lord returns. And I don't have to wait in line for the latest i phone. And it cost me less than one third the price of one. Smart phones are for people who need a phone and a computer with them. All I need is a phone. :)

That is an earlier phone, but it appears that it does support 4G LTE, if I am looking at the correct whitelist.

These phones will still work on our network after we phase out 3G in February 2022 (att.com)

Per the Asterix it may need a software update though. It again lists the model under

Devices that may require a software update to enable HD Voice, Wi-Fi Calling, Video Call, Advanced Messaging or 5G services

I am a fan of Kyocera phones myself. Mine is a smartphone as I do use a few more features, but it was on the simpler side. It is about as old as yours but does list HD calling so appears you and I just made the cutoff for our respective services. More rugged than other options, Samsung, various other Android brands, and of course the restrictive iPhones.

Definitely liked the flip versions as well. Been considering getting one for my mom as her "senior friendly" provided phone is very frustrating to use as options are designed to go step by step every time as if every time you turn it on is the first time you've ever seen a cell phone. Last time she dealt with a computer was the Commodore 64 (or 128 in 64 mode) and when asked if the smart phone they tried to give her was an iPhone she asked her friend "what's an iPhone?", so she needs something simple and reliable. I just have to find out which model (if any) are compatible with her service.
