Why doesn’t any calls I’ve made out of state appear on my talk logs?

I’m a new user to AT&T services and products, and I was excited to see the various features and applications accessible to me. However, I was disappointed with the lack of accurate logs. None of the calls made out of state have appeared on the log, and text logs only reflect an entry if sent  sms.
