Why are my voicemails delayed?
I am not getting notifications of voicemail or missed calls for hours after the call or voice mail was placed. This has been going on for years an AT&T fails to resolve the issue.

We understand how important it is to receive your voicemails on time, @Roadstain.
In most cases you can clear up delayed voicemail notifications by resetting your network settings.
For Android:
Go to Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options > Reset network settings.
For Apple:
Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Lets try troubleshooting your voicemail. Sign in to get personalized steps based on your device and follow the prompts.
We can also use a little more information from you to help guide you to the right path to get this fixed!
We look forward to hearing back from you so that we can help get this resolved.

Hi,
I have an apple iPhone 13 pro max. All updates have been installed. I have plenty of storage. My zip code is 25301. This is not a phone issue. I have had this happen on multiple devises. It is not a problem with the phone's voicemail it is the AT&T network issues as the voice mails are delivered but are received hours after the voice mail was left. Thanks

Hi,
I also tried trouble shooting the problem but stopped after the trouble shooting was trying to fix an iPhone 11. I have an iPhone 13 pro max.

Hi,
My phone call missed notifications also are delayed along with the voice mail. My iPhone 13 pro max is always connected to the AT&T network and the problems are not because I am in an area with no service. Thanks

@Roadstain, we want to help you get your voicemails in real time.
Let’s meet in a Direct Message to discuss your delayed voicemails. We understand how frustrating not getting your messages late can be and want to help get this resolved for you. Please check your Direct Message Inbox (it’s the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums)
In the meantime, you can troubleshoot your voicemail for iPhone 13 pro max. Under device support Fix my Voicemail click get started. You can also try resetting your password, as it tends to update the voicemail settings, and may get it to working properly again.
Want to change your voicemail password? First, make sure you're in an AT&T wireless coverage area or you won't be able to create a new voicemail password.
We look forward to meeting you in a Direct Message to help with your delayed messages.
Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums

I am also having this problem on my IPhone. I have called twice and a tech person has done something at the ATT end, but then it happens again. I don't want to reset settings if it is going to change anything else. Can you also DM and advise me?
Thank you.

Hi, I am not seeing if my message was sent. I am also having this issue, and twice ATT techs have said they fixed it at their end, but the fix has only lasted a short time. I don't want to reset settings if that will change anything else in my phone settings. Can you also DM me to help me resolve this? Thank you.

I have all the same issues iPhone 8plus. Latest example, yesterday my neighbor sent me a vm around 1 pm and the notification popped up on my phone around 5:15 pm with the 1pm time stamp in it. And Yes my texts to and from my wife are often very late too.
I retired from being a system performance troubleshooter. I’d suspect ATT seems to have a backlog of processing text and voicemails at times during the day due to software abnormalities, hardware, cpu or storage bottleneck and/or network bottleneck.
i don’t think any of the ATT people on this thread understand message processing. This needs to be pushed way up the line into the data center and we’d like to know what the plan is.
