Visual voicemail

My sister says that there is a way to uninstall/turn off visual voicemail so I don't have to pay the extra $40 a month that I CANNOT afford! I do not use the VVM anyway!!!
If someone could please tell me how to do this I would appreciate it!!!
Thanks!!!

I have read all the posting and i can see what some are saying but i think what Lizdance40 and sandblaster are saying is that the $40 Dollars that your getting charged for the Access for iPhone 4g LTE w / Visual Voicemail is for your Phone Calls and Text Messaging if I understand it right or maybe not.

Yes.  But if you are paying $40, you are also paying for the phone under a contract, or on a very old plan.  The newer line access fees do not include equipment, service only.

@jhhodges   Every device, phone, tablet, watch, that uses cellular has a “phone number” to access the network.  Someone like myself with 6 total “lines” pays more than someone with only 2 phones because I pay a line access fee for each line.

Your reply is not helpful at all. What do you mean it's part of the plan? Can we as customer choose to not have it include?

@stackwontflow,

base plan got a charge on its own.

access fee is a fee for each device accessing the plan. prices differs for each type of plan.

"an we as customer choose to not have it include?"

no and yes.

*no as its the fee for the service thats why your phone is working on the network.

*yes if you wanna cancel the line.

VVM , visual voice mail can be removed, or you can not use it.  It’s included free.

So is a charge for iPhones only? And is it for each single iPhone on a plan? Do Androids not incur this charge?

Every line on the account has a line charge....  Does not matter what phone it is.
