Unlimited Mobile Hotspot

Wasn’t sure where to actually leave a review but wanted to state how disgusted I am with AT&T. I had several friend recommend AT&T Unlimited Mobile Hotspot for home internet because we live a rural area. I need decent internet more than ever because I’m having to do virtual learning with 4 kids. Called in and got signed up for the hotspot and asked the lady several times if the plan was unlimited and was even told when it would start throttling the speed. Received the device and it said it only had 10GB of data. Called in and spent 5 hrs on the phone and spoke to 5 different people. Was told that 10GB was the biggest plan they have for the hotspot and that they have NEVER had an unlimited plan. One person I spoke with claimed that he was the highest manager available at the time and he notified me that he has been with the company 7 years and that they have never had an unlimited plan for the hotspots. As you can imagine this frustrated me because I have friends that have unlimited and even watched YouTube videos of people with unlimited. So the question is, does this mean AT&T is taking advantage of a pandemic? They remove an unlimited plan when more people are stuck at home and need it.

I agree with what that “highest manage” said, there has never been an unlimited plan for a hotspot device to my knowledge either. Now, there have been unlimited plans that may have allowed a hotspot and anyone who has those old plans get to keep them but even those were discontinued years ago.

Had to post, they had an unlimited hotspot plan introduced around 2017ish, called "Mobley Plan" using the ZTE Mobley, you could get unlimited internet as a "mobile hotspot" for only $20 per month, May no longer offer it but you can be in it if your grandfather did. I actually had the plan and can verify it was real, You can also Google this.
