Text messages

My texts are not being received.  I received incoming messages fine. My responses are not going through for certain people.

I've reset my service, restarted the phone, did the update, still no change. I do get the message that AT&T backup is not working & to to again.

Thank you for letting us know what troubleshooting steps you have already attempted. In addition, please try out these fixes: 

  1. Our helpful troubleshoot & resolve tool to fix your messaging concern. You'll need to navigate to Fix my wireless> Connection>Text & messaging, enter your device make and model or sign in to get personalized help. 
  2. Your contacts may need to reach out to the carrier to look into the messaging concern as the concern may be on their end. 

If this doesn't help, let us know and we'll invite you to private to create a ticket so we can look into why you are unable to send messages to these particular contacts!
