text messages

Upon downloading new software a few weeks ago, I have not been able to send text(s) or receive text(s) from certain people in my address book - please advise what the fix is.

Hello @JoeDynamic,

We'd be more than happy to take a closer look into your concerns.

We'll need some more details in order for us to better assist you:

  • What is the make and model of the cell phone that you're using?
  • What is the software version that your cell phone is currently using?
  • Are you using the default messaging app on your cell phone, or a third-party messaging application?
  • Does this only occur with certain types of text messages, such as standard SMS text messages or MMS text messages?
  • What happens exactly when you try to send these text messages?
  • Also, are these contacts that you don't receive text messages from experiencing any issues with sending text messages to their other contacts?

Please let us know.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi @JoeDynamic,

Thanks for clarifying for us!

Please let us know what troubleshooting options you've already tried. If you haven't, you can use our Device Support page to do so. It should already be set to your device. If it isn't, you'll need to select it through the menu. The troubleshooting options are further down the page: select email and messaging

You can select Fix messaging issues to start off. It will take you to the Troubleshoot & Resolve tool, so you will need to click Messaging beneath Service/network issues on the next page. Follow the steps to see if this helps.

If not, we'll need to try something else. We look forward to your response!
