We can definitely provide you with some troubleshooting steps for when your text messages are not being delivered. We recommend using our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool to fix this. Simply select your device and the issue, then follow the steps to find a solution. Let us know if this helps.

This is not a phone issue as so many AT&T customers are having the exact same issue. It's a pity to have your customers wasting time going through trouble shooting measures that won't help a network issue. AT&T needs to come forth with a transparent statement that they are aware of the issue and hopefully they are working on a solution.

Same problem here. They do eventually go through but as much as a 3hr delay. I found that it’s happening consistently with group chats but ok with one to one chat

This isn't a device issue, my partner and I are having the same issue and we have different phones; however, we are on the same ATT plan. Some of our messages won't send until 2am, and I recently found out that I'm not receiving messages.

I walked through all the troubleshooting steps with Att for both phones, with no resolution, they've now escalated my issue...hopefully someone reaches soon out and tells us what's going on.

I am having the same issue & I think it is an AT&T issue and not a device issue. I am on a text thread with 3 other people & they send & receive messages fine but I can only read their messages. AT&T support was very unhelpful.

Same here! I am ready to switch providers, every group chat I'm on is getting my texts delayed and out of order. It's incredibly irritating!!!!

My wife and I have the same problem. It only seems to happen when we (iPhone users) text with certain Android users.

It is very annoying. I am contemplating switching back to Verizon because of it.

ditto, same problem.

i have an Android and quiet often my texts to iPhone users are throttled by hours, days, donkey-years AND many do not go thru.

Lord knows how many text messages I have NOT received.

AND, recently I am not able to send text messages, Android to Android.

Sanguinely, now that John Stankey is running the place, AT&T will understand that they really are in the Customer Service Business, NOT in the Customer Bruising Business

Same here.  My ATT text messages aren't delayed they just simply fail when sent to more then one recipient.  I can send it to individual people no problem within minutes of send texts to multiple people.  This started in May 2020.  But it is not my cell phone.  All my families cell phones are all experiencing this same new issue.  Galaxy s8 & s10.  And a new model iPhone, a year old maybe , that my wife has.

I had the same issue with my S8 and I called the warranty people and he told me to go into messages then click the settings and click the advance messaging and turn it off and my messages went thru.

I came here after more than an hour just trying to get the RIGHT customer support tech person on the line to discuss the problem of texts not sending to a particular friend--intermittently. After three phone numbers given to call, one 20 plus minute wait for a call back followed by 20 minutes of a phone wait message designed to irritate the ears (I discovered that if you lowered the volume to the lowest possible and wrapped the phone in several layers of thick toweling, you can almost think about other things while still listening for a near human voice) followed by 10 minutes of total silence while no one came on the line, and never even getting to the fun part where a supposedly live person puts me through the useless trouble shooting (as described multiple times above) of my device (I was texted a link with more information, if I wanted to sign in and read while waiting, thus again, solving it on my own), I can only conclude  the problem is with AT & T. A hostile corporate overlord that I don't recall being this evil in the past but will be looking into switching services out of in the future. Along with everything else these days (October 2020), the entire experience was just Bizarre.

I'm having pretty much the same issue. Group texts go through, sometimes, but I don't receive any of the repllies. My texts to verizon customers don't through when I send individual texts and I don't receive ones from them either. So far individual texts with ATT customers only will go through. I was told my sim card was bad. Got a new one with no resolution. Told to change the message center number and no resolution. A store associate told me the next step is to wipe my phone. What? No. That should not be the solution. I can't believe this is a device issue and not an ATT problem. Oh and I've started dropping phone calls in areas I never have before. All this started after I paid my phone off and got a text that ATT just improved the network in my area. 

ATT you need to get you head out of your butts and figure this out. I'm ready to make that move to Verizon.

I have the same problems as stated many times above. Just wanted to add to the long line of dissatisfied AT&T customers. They don't seem to care to make the use experience better. Maybe I should subtract a dollar from the current month's payment for every failed text message ;-)

As I am sure you all know this is an AT&T issue. I am on my 3rd iPhone within the last 3 weeks. All have new sim cards. I think I even isolated it to a certain tower. My group messaging has issues, and no one else did. One of my co-workers from the group text went near my house to get drinks for everyone. When she was there and tried to send us a text for drink orders, her phone would not send the message. The only time I have this issue is at my house. Clearly this is not only an AT&T issue, but I can isolate it to a specific tower. What I am not 100% sure of yet, is whether this issue only occurs when a group chat has an android user and the phone attempts to send the message as SMS. Apple confirmed with me moments ago that this is not a phone issue as the odds of me having 3 bad phones within 3 weeks is next to zero.
