supposedly a spoof text from husband, both his and his wifes numbers or on text log at same time, but no texts from her
He says he never sent these texts, they say these texts are not on his phone.
Is she spoofing his number, pretending to be him, and sending very inappropriate texts to me?
How is her number on my text log when i got no texts from her at all?
They both say they have no idea how this happened. But both myself and they need proof of a spoof/hack as if a formal complaint is made he will loose his job and they will be forced to move out of the neighborhood.
Can someone please help?

I believe it is highly unlikely the number was spoofed. Spoofing a number on a call is relatively easy but spoofing a number on a text is not easily done. The text not being on the sender’s phone also doesn’t prove it wasn’t sent from that phone, it could have been deleted. Does anyone other than the owner have access to that phone? In any event, I doubt there is anything ATT can do.

The o my other person who has access to that phone is the wife. Her number shows up in my text log at the same time his did. And my number shows up in her log too. But I never got any texts from her. Only him. He has 15 entries on my lug and that’s how many times we texted back and forth. Her number shows up 6 times and I never got one message from her. Could she have spoofed his number and she sent the foul messages ?

I can’t think of anything other than she did send the texts, as your log indicates, but somehow your phone shows them as coming from his number. Do you all have iPhones? There is an iMessage setting for what number you receive and reply from if they use the same iCloud account but that’s supposed to only apply to iMessages, not texts.

No. They have androids. Not iPhones. I have iPhone. So unless there is spoofing software involved ( which I don’t know if it works on texts ) then I have no answer as to why her number is on my log. I’m so lost here. How does this happen. ? Why does this happen ?
also the texts were a 7 text dialogue between him and I. He says he never texted with me.
