@GLIMMERMAN76. Actually the Verizon option smacks of a voluntary overage charge. $15 for one gig of data. So if you need 2 gigs, you pay $30? Nope, you go p to the next tier.
I think tiers should to be closer together.

Thank you @GLIMMERMAN76,
We greatly appreciate your suggestion. This is a new plan and a new direction we plan on moving in, so feedback is extremely important to us. We will take this back to our Product Management team so that while this plan continues to grow and evolve, it’ll be exactly what you want and what you need!

@lizdance40 You're right. It is a programming thing. Non-AT&T devices have to be provisioned with our APNs for them to be able to even access the internet. However, entering these APNs is not a guarantee that cellular data or its additional services (like tethering) will work on our network. In some instances, cellular data may work, but they may only get a 4G connection instead of LTE.

@aTeamxM4TT. Thanks for the link.
Just to clarify: any non ATT phone (except iPhone) should expect not to be able to tether on Gophone?
And no fix will be offered. So I'll keep the response I've been using.

That because ATT is using an system that is so out of date to figure out if a device is LTE compatiable. There is no reason at all att should have the 1+3 from opo tagged as a 3g only device. Just like no HDvoice or wifi calling on non att devices its stupid. Other carriers allow it. ATT does not because there backend imei checks are mundane in this day and age. I switch phones 15 times a year and its funny to watch how the phones act. The samsung 930u would be a good example.

@lizdance40 Exactly. Any non-AT&T branded cell phones (i.e. unlocked from another carrier or sold directly from the manfacturer) can experience issues with cellular data and its related services like tethering, MMS, etc. This goes for prepaid GoPhone and postpaid plans and their respective devices. Other carriers are going to have similar issues with unlocked devices on their networks.

We really appreciate ATT, as a GSM network, allowing non ATT phones on the network. With the end of contracts, the uptick in people buying phones elsewhere is HUGE. I see posts daily asking if a non ATT phone will work.
I don't like posting "Yes, but...." Especially when they can take the same phone elsewhere for service.
If ATT wants the customers, they are going to have to accommodate the devices they bring better than they do now.
This is only the beginning.
