Short code messaging not working...
OK. So here is the problem. My wife and I recently switched to AT&T from Veri$on. Now having been just under a week after the porting we cannot get short code messages on a lot of the sites.
Cannot figure this out. Standard text message work without problem but short code messages are a no go for some reason. Having talked with a VERY helpful and super custoemr support person already, she tried the same thing my wife and I were and had success on her personal device. Ours for some reason will not work.
Now the really strang thing is that it is not ALL the short codes not working. Facebook, Twitter and obviously AT&T's are working ok. She has several others such as JCPenney, Payless, NY&C and a couple others that, since the switch over, are not coming in to her phone. I myself tried to get a verification through quikly.com and it states, "It looks like your phone plan cannot receive text messages from our short code. Please contact your carrier for further information. Use another phone number to proceed."
So far no ne has been able to explain to us why this is happening. I have tried to do the same verification using 3 different and new e-mail addresses and still cannot get the verification code to work.
PLEASE help. This is so frustrating.
