Sbcglobal.net IMAP/ SMTP for Android (March 2021)
Recently (March 2021) my android mail app stopped accessing my SBCGLOBAL.net email account. The app asked for my sign on info again. I re-entered my user and PW but still no access. Did ATT change the IMAP / SMTP servers for Sbcglobal.net recently.???
What settings should I use for IMAP / SMTP on an android phone.??
Thanks for any help.
PS. I can access my Sbcglobal.net using my browser and web mail. So I know my Username and password are correct.

Let's see if we can get your email back up and running, @simko777.
Here is more information about what settings you need to use to set up your email with your phone. This will be required in order for you to send and receive emails.
Also, we recommend that you set up a Secure Mail Key. This is a 16 digit password that you will use instead of your current password. This will be required in order for your email to work properly.

The info you provided worked Great.!
IMAP
Inbound server - imap.mail.att.net (Port 993)
Outbound server - SMTP.mail.att.net (Port 465)
(or)
POP3
Inbound - server hostname: inbound.att.net (Port 993)
Outbound -server hostname: outbound.att.net (Port 465)
PLUS Created a NEW Email Security KEY...
Now my favorite old Android mail App works like before.

Hello,
I am not able to access my sbcglobal.net email since July 15 all of the sudden. I have tried to the above server, but I have been getting the error message stating "couldn't open connection to server". Would you please advise how I can retrieve my sbcglobal email account? Thank you so much!
