S21 Ultra Hacked Remotely by Unknown eSIM during AT&T OTA Update to One UI 4.0/Android 12
During the time AT&T was sending my phone the OTA update, I noticed something malicious. As soon as Device Care started this update, I noticed a new, unrecognized eSIM appear in the 2nd empty SIM slot of my Galaxy S21 Ultra!! This was DURING the update. The update did not apply properly. My phone was factory erased by this assailant, and I can not log into my Google Account from the phone. I can log into my Samsung Account. BUT!! ALL my incoming SMS/MMS messages and ALL incoming calls are routed directly to my voicemail. Under "Network Service Provider" it says Voicemail instead of AT&T. I did not change any of the settings. My phone has reverted to some old, outdated version of Android. I changed my password. Call Protect and AT&T Mobile Security have both been running this entire time since this happened. Neither app ever detected these events about the faulty OS and my 2nd SIM slot getting hijacked! When can I expect this to be corrected, please? Thanks, Beth.

Did you interrupt the update? Most recent updates through AT&T was supposed to install the ability to use your esim, something it was previously blocked on AT&T s21 series.
Have you done a factory reset? Then restore from backup?
Is the physical sim damaged? If the physical Sim has been corrupted or damaged you will need to go to an AT&T store and have it replaced.
You should directly contact AT&T and if necessary, contact Samsung about a replacement device under warranty.

I am "Bethers" the same person who posted above. I am struggling with a connection and it's not easy to reply.
I still don't have service since I posted on Nov 27th. All my calls and texts are going to voicemail. What is the voicemail number? What is the message center number? What are APN settings for MCC 310 MNC 410 (But SIM 280)? I bought this phone directly from AT&T and it's since been unlocked. My plan is Unlimited Elite. I think I am in an old Cingular or Bellsouth area - in Upstate SC. The phone is AT&T Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.

you were told 3 days ago to go into an at&t store and you werent remotely hacked thats impossible your update just failed, or the update just made your esim available and the phone is on the esim and you just need to go into settings and switch to the physical sim

I did go. My ATT store says they aren't an official store, so they can't help me. Don't get an attitude with me. The SIM 1 is mounted. SIM 2 DID GET HACKED by a remote eSIM.

So you went to the wrong store. Go to an AT&T Corporate Store, not an authorized Retailer.
There's no such thing as a "remote eSIM", thus you were not hacked by one.
