Reporting SPAM text from an email address (no phone number shown)

I tried the usual "forward to 7726" then reply with sender info.

However, the sender is an email address, not a phone number, and the bot behind 7726 does not understand an email address -- it just keeps asking me to send the phone number. Here's a screencap of the SPAM text message

Hi @jhgarrison,

Thanks for reaching out! Allow us to lend a helping hand.

We understand that you were unable to use the "7726" method. We recommend using our site to Report unwanted calls & texts. Where it says enter number at the top, use the email instead. Fill out the rest of the form, and let us know if you are able to complete it. If you aren't, we'll have to try a different method.

We look forward to your response!

This worked.

Side comment: The "mark as accepted andwer" function is very well hidden in the forum user interface. Please consider making it more obvious.

We're glad you were able to resolve your issue with that unwanted SPAM message, @jhgarrison!

Also, we will forward your remarks about that Mark as accepted answer function to the correct department for review and consideration.

Thank you for your participation in the AT&T Community & Forums.

I am having this problem every day from random hotmail email addresses.  However, the web page to report the problem will only allow enough characters for a phone number.  The email address is different every day, but with the same message.

I cannot think of any way to block these.

Please tell me that there is some answer for this!

The page linked to for reporting unwanted calls and texts will not allow the full email address to be entered as it is limited to 10 spaces for phone numbers.

That page used to work, but it appears it has been "enhanced" (NOT) to accept only 10 characters.  AT&T, what happened? Why did you do this?

@Lar, your link no longer accepts email addresses, and there are lots of people on the forum complaining about reporting SPAM texts from emails.  Can we get some attention to this issue from AT&T?

I have unmarked the answer as "accepted" since it no longer works.
