Hello @Kyshae98,

We're happy to help! Based on the information you have provided, it appears that you deleted the text messages from your device only. If you completed a back-up after receiving the messages you are trying to recover, they should be available for review through your iCloud.

I am looking to recover messages deleted some time ago. I regularly back up in iCloud so I know they would t be in the latest backup. Is there a way AT&T can recover if I have dates and the phone number messages were from?  I’m trying to get a restraining order on an abusive ex and would like these as proof.

I deleted messages meant to take to police. I did not back up my Icloud so how can I get them.

@dcharw123 You probably can’t. ATT does not have them. Without a backup, the only places to recover from would be the other phone that sent or received them or from your phone with special recovery software.
