Personal hotspot connected but extremely slow

Recently, my entire family’s personal hotspot has been extremely slow, sometimes not even able to load anything. This is incredibly annoying especially since my sister and I need to use it for school. For example, we can connect our laptops to the hotspot but as soon as we try to load something on google or try to open a application, it refuses to load. Is there anyway to fix this? It’s been going on for around 2-3 months now, we’ve tried everything we could think of to fix it but nothing had worked so far.

  • Which plan(s) are you and your family currently using?
  • Does your hotspot tend to slow at the end of the billing period or is the slow speeds all the time?
  • What is your zip code?
  • What kind of devices are you and your family using?

I’m not exactly sure which plan were on, but we all have unlimited data and a personal hotspot on each of our phones. The hotspot is slow all the time, maybe the first day of a new month it’s working fine but the very next day it slows down a significant amount. My sisters and I’s zip code is 96130, and my moms is 94904. I don’t know the exact versions, but my sister and I have iPhones and my mom has a samsung galaxy.

Your areas are in good standing as far as cellular connectivity goes, so it doesn't seem like this is a connection problem. 

 

We still need to know which plan you have specifically. The data allocation varies between plans. Once we know the plan, we'll be able to know how much data you have for these hotspots, and other useful information. This will help us determine what's going on with your hotspots.

I have been using my hotspot to connect my Roku tv to the internet. I have been able to watch all my Netflix shows and Hulu bit lately Netflix won’t load. Hulu will load but when I select a program to watch it bonks out. 
I upgraded my speed on my wireless account so I can watch my shows. I hat gives?
