I have a Nokia Lumia 635 running on Windows 8.1. Only one number is giving me the invalid phone number code, and adding a 1 in front of the number. I have powered the phone off and back on a couple of times, but I'm still having issues.
Is this a network problem?

Not sure which side the problem is on, but I'm texting between my Verizon and AT&T phones. Messages that come back from Verizon show the extra digit ... ex. +11(###) ###-####

This causes a problem with the reply. The initial text seems to work, so either Verizon is sending an extra digit or AT&T is adding it on the receiving side. Looks like a system issues, not a device issue.

It's not an android issue....looks like it's AT&T.   I didn't upgrade anything on my phone.   It just started this morning.   Seems to be from people texting from Verizon so far...

i have been having the same issue! only one number is doing it, no matter what i do, i have restarted my phone, deleted the number and re entered it, and it still does it. the only fix i have found so far is manually entering the number each time i want to send a message..but that is rather annoying and slow. hope this is fixed soon.

I have a galaxy s4 and just today I started having problems with my text messaging. When I text someone from my address book, it goes through normal but when the person replies, it comes back to me as a new text. It has the person's number instead of the name I have them under in my address book. If I reply to the new text that comes in, it will immediately send me another text that says it isn't a valid phone number, when I know it is. Any ideas how to stop this? I've tried rebooting my phone but that didn't help. Thanks!
