Mobile Hotspot

My mobile hotspot (iPhone 8plus) keeps connecting and disconnecting and it take forever just to get my laptop to find it. It was all working perfectly until I upgraded to get more hotspot data added. (Since they stopped given extra for Covid it said I was all of a sudden using over my limit) Why would more data make it not work!? I’m not sure what to do! I live in the country and have no internet except for this. I’m relying on it because I am forced to work from home right now. It has been working perfectly for the past couple months, just not now?!?! Please help. Will have to switch networks if this doesn’t work, because I have to have hotspot.

Hey @Krenbarger!

 

We can help with your intermittent Hotspot connection. If you haven't already tried since upgrading your plan, restart your Hotspot router and see if it maintains a steady connection.

 

  • Does this issue occur at specific times of the day?
  • Has the device updated since the issue began?
