MMS group messaging not working

I just switched to AT&T after 14 years with Verizon, 3 weeks in and I’m not receiving SMS/MMS messages in a group chat, yet my husband who also switched with me and also has a new iPhone is receiving them. I was on chat and phone with customer service 4 times today, apple confirmed its a carrier issue, and all AT&T does is say they found a glitch, ask me to restart my phone, and say it should work. When I restart my phone I get a few of the missed texts then it stops working pretty much immediately. Already regretting switching carriers, I see this issue has been going on for years, unacceptable that it hasn’t been resolved yet. Has anyone found a solution??
