missing text messages

I need to receive messages from a 5 digit sender, such as 35433, but messages are not coming through. Is there a setup I need to complete, or something else?

Hello dbbrooks, we're here to help you with receiving verification text messaging.

 

We understand the impact of not able to receive verification text. We just have a few questions.

  • Have you received messages from the short code previously? That we can troubleshoot accordingly.
  • Are they receiving short codes from any other provider? Perhaps there is a block.
  • Are the Alerts set up within the application they are trying to receive messages from? This will help with the set up.

You can also try text messaging help to the provider.

Yesterday, I added the sender organization name with 5-digit text code to my Contacts. I immediately began receiving regularly scheduled messages. I wondered if that would permit the system to allow messages to come through. I don't know that this had anything to do with it, but I've received expected messaged ever since.
