Issues receiving and sending text messages

I looks like after accepting a AT&T network update a few weeks ago, my iPhone has issues sending and receiving message to/from androids and iPhones as well. I am not sure though that the AT&T network update changed anything.


I did reset my phone and have plenty of free space on my phone. Other suggestions?

Having issues with your text messages can certainly be a problem since it is one of the main forms of communication nowadays. It will be my pleasure to help with some additional troubleshooting steps!


Turning on airplane mode for about a minute and turning it back off will help refresh the network connections in the phone.


Our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool goes over some of the common resolutions for messaging problems. Make sure to select your make and model phone before choosing Messaging as the issue.


Resetting the network settings in your phone will clear out the connections your phone has so it can re-acquire them. It will remove your saved Wi-Fi connections, so be sure to reconnect after and don’t use your data by accident. In an iPhone, you can head to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to do this.
