iPhone on prepay - No MMS

I have a iPhone 4 that I have used on att postpaid and net10 with MMS. I recently switched to att prepay and MMS won't work. I reset my network settings and still nada. Any suggestions? Do I need to do the APN trick and enter manually?

Hi @cmonman 

 

On our prepaid service, you need to ensure that your IMEI of your phone is the one that matches the account, or a lot of things such as data and MMS messaging won't work. You can update your IMEI by visiting any Company Owned AT&T store and providing a valid photo ID. You should also request to have your SIM card changed at that time as well to force your iPhone to re-download the network settings.

 

If that doesn't work, you may need to manually program in the APN settings into the device.

I updated my APN setting last night using another carriers sim and hot swapping the AT&T sim back in. MMS is now working but I expect to periodically have to repeat that procedure as it tends to reset. Ill follow up at an AT&T store when I can. Thanks for the advice.
