iphone 6 unlimited data plan error.

Hi all,

Just wanted to touch on an issue I've been very concerned about and seen others concerned as well. I ordered my iphone 6 yesterday, and was very careful to read all the text before purchasing my handset. After I confirmed my purchase, I see that it is stated that my unlimited data plan has been cancelled and in turn I'm now signed up to a mobile shared value data plan. What up with that? I want to keep my unlimited data plan, and truthfully, if I cannot, I'm seriously considering cancelling my service, which is something I really had no intention prior to this issue. So, am I out of luck here, or what?

Truth be told, I did call the customer services line and they told me that as long as I acivated the phone with them, by calling before I even turn on the new phone, that I should be fine. But, in the instances I spoke with them, they could not, or would not give me a written statement saying that that would not loose my data plan, hence me writting here to see if I get a clarified response as of why this happens, and how to prevent it, and assurance from somebody at ATT that this indeed will not change my data plan. I'm sure others have the same concern, so please advise.

Hey there,

Just wanted you to know, you're not alone. I'm in the same exact boat. I went through very carefully with my order yesterday and was presented with the same message.

I wrestled through several phone calls yesterday, and through about 5 reps they all gave me a different story.

One of them said I shouldn't worry and that it will be fine, so I asked for a confirmation of that and she said I'd be receiving a text message stating so immediately.

24 hours later, no text message ever came.

I have called again this morning and have been in the waiting queue for... 47 minutes so far.

Good luck buddy.

EDIT: Oh yah, there was an ATT employee posting yesterday as well, telling people to send a message through here to the ATT Care guys or whatever, and that they'd call people back and sort it out.

More than 24 hours later, never receieved any call or any response of any kind.

We are looking into this as well. We have a business account with AT&T with multiple lines of service and if they drop our unlimited plans we will most likely leave AT&T which is a shame since we have been customers for so many years.
