Hotspot feature works on iphone but not when I switch th note 9 on same number

Hotspot feature works on iphone but not when I switch th note 9 on same number. I occasionally switch my sim between an iphone SE and Note 9. The hotspot works on iphone but on Note it says I dont have a compatible account.

Thanks for reaching out to us, we're happy to provide the answers!

 

The error message you received when changing devices means the SIM card and mobile number is active only to the main cellphone (the iPhone) when using the mobile hotspot feature. 

 

The secondary cellphone will not be able to utilize the wireless features if it's not included with the AT&T account.
