Group MMS adds "Subject: New Message" to non-AT&T incoming messages
Staring today (11/24/15) I'm seeing the subject line for MMS group messages when that subject is empty, prompting "New Message" as the output. This only seems to happen to non-AT&T messages since my wife can respond on the same group and it doesn't show up.
My info:
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note Edge (mine), Samsung Galaxy S5 (my wife)
Android version: 5.1.1

I'm having the same issue. In my group chat, the people on ATT as well do not give me this message. However, if they are not on ATT, I get the message. Please fix. Looks like this happened before as well.

I saw some stuff that indicated Straight Talk Wireless customers dealt with this about two years ago. I'm not sure what the deal is, this does indicate that it's strongly likely to be on the carrier end of things.

Im having the same issue and so is my wife.
It' appears to be on group text messages only so far, but I'll post more if I have more info.
I'm also getting s lot message comeing through but not auto downloading and when I click to download, it fails.
Something seriously wrong.
Please fix ASAP.
FYI:
I am using a Samsing Galaxy Note 4 and my wife has a Sansung Galaxy S6 Active both running Android 5.1.1 and both using the standard messaging app.

Some new data:
- Checked in both on and off of the 3G Microcell tower with no difference
- Tested both group MMS and Individual MMS (in this case a picture attached to the message) and the issue only occurs with group MMS
- The "Subject: New Message" is displayed but is not added to the message body. It is still being displayed properly as a subject object. Subjects show automatically when they're not the default value and so I think (though I'm making this guess up) that something about how AT&T is reading the subject from incoming, non-AT&T messages and marking them as non-default somehow
- This happens in the stock messaging app as well as several other 3rd party apps, so I don't think it's at the app level.
There you go AT&T. More testing done for you. Please at least let me know there's attention being paid to this thread.
