email to txt
I maintain 60+ networks where in I use email-to-txt for a wide range of devices to send me notifications. This has worked perfectly for 20+ years with AT&T. Because of the retirement of 3G, in February '22, I had to change from an older Galaxy to a new Motorola moto G. I have not received a single email-to-txt message since the change. I have verified all the phone updates. I have attempted sending from a wide variety of email addresses. I have attempted both [email scrubbed] and @txt.mms.net. Nothing seems to work. With the change-out of phones, I do believe the AT&T store personnel put the SIM from the older phone into the new phone. Could I just be needing a new SIM? Any ideas?

Let us help you with your email to text, @Kevin_Moto.
Email to text or text to email allows you to send a text, picture, or video message to a wireless number.
Heads up: Don't include dashes or spaces in between the numbers.
If your email to text was working fine before the device switch, then yes we do recommend getting a new SIM card as the old SIM was registered to a 3G device that is no longer compatible due to the 3G Sunset, you would want to use a new SIM card with your new device. You may pick up a new SIM at your local AT&T Store. After replacing the SIM, try sending a text to email and let us know how that works for you.

as of today mms.att.net works but txt.att.net does not work at all. Tried to send from gmail, yahoo and also from my company email. Email to text using mms.att.net works on all email providers.
txt.att.net just doesn't work today. Is there something down? anyone know? We use email to text to alert our staff of important updates when out on the field.

Im working on a network where we send updates to our patrons from email to SMS. Recently the @txt.att.net address has stopped working for our customers under the ATT network provider.
So im having the same issue as @hugo_pluckster.
Thank you for mentioning that the @mms.att.net address is working with email. Ill switch to that for the time being and see if it works with out patrons.
@ATTHelp do you know of any future fix or change to re-enable email to sms through your @txt.att.net address?
